Government offices, schools, utilities, and carriers change phone numbers, hours, addresses, and procedures without much notice. Numbers get reassigned. Departments reorganize. Area codes get new overlays. We do our best to keep our pages current, but we cannot guarantee that every detail on this site is correct at any given moment. Before you rely on a number you saw here, call the office directly to confirm.
Official sources drift too. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission area-code page still describes an older count of Pennsylvania area codes, while later PUC press releases and NANPA records show additional codes now in service, including 582 in the northwest and central region and 835 in the southeast. Neither source is trying to mislead anyone. Pages simply get written once and updated later. That is the whole reason to confirm a number or a code with the office or authority that issues it.

This site does not host any official phone directory, carrier directory listing, NPA/NXX assignment record, or directory-assistance database. We point you to the offices, carriers, and authorities that do hold those records. To verify or change a listing, you have to reach out to the issuing office or carrier directly.
